Two ground wires?

Two ground wires?
I have to replace 2 ground wires. One is the ground to my A pillar to my headlight switch, then the other one runs to the tab one my switch connector, now the one for the tab connector concerns me because it's been spliced together, what is it connected to besides my switch connector where does it lead to?

on my 78 I believe the grounds go to the accessory light switches in the door jambs. They are grounded to the jamb itself but the wires go to the headlight switch. If you get a schematic for your year it will show better than I can explain it.

A picture of the wires that you are talking about would help for a more accurate answer. Also "kanvasman" is correct. A schematic will greatly help you when sorting out your electrical system.
