Anyone know the size of the 3 bolts for mounting the bumper support to the frame extension in the attached picture? I thought they were 10mm x 1.50, but the bolt I have is seizing after a couple turns in each hole. Tried a 3/8in & 7/16 coarse and those didn't fit either.
I've owned my 77 since dirt was new. There is absolutely nothing I haven't rebuilt, or refurbished in some way on this car. Including removal of the body for body mounts.
There are ABSOLUTELY NO metric bolts anywhere on a 77 Corvette . Perhaps when you tryed to strip metric bolts into SAE holes you buggered the threads. Try chasing the threads with a tap to repair the damage.
And in future, don't assume that you have metric bolts on this car. The C4's do. But Not a 77.
Also, could they possibly be 7/16ths fine thread like the body mount bolts?
Best of luck to you.

Good to know no metric bolts were used. Was hoping I wouldn't have to retap, but you're probably right that the treads are shot at this point.
