Default Big Block Chrome Bumper Clone Values

OK, hypothetical. Let's say one has a C3, chrome bumper convertible, that is set up to look like an L88 car. The engine is a crate motor, cannot document the trans or any other driveline part. Only thing you can validate is that it was a V8. And the car was completely gone through, it looks like someone spent a lot of money and time on it. Do you value the car like it is a small block car or a big block car? My thought is you would value it as a number 2/3 small block car. I would appreciate comments on this. Thanks.

price it as a base motor car in the same condition and add up the price of parts that made it a BB clone

I'd price it as a roller, plus half of whatever I could sell the engine for.

Perhaps you can find something comparable on Bring a Trailer?

Someone who is looking for a big block Corvette as a driver/toy doesn't really give a hoot about matching numbers. If it's done properly suspension and all, then it's a non numbers matching big block. And it's value will depend on the condition of the car.
