My Tilt and turn signal lever "*****" have gotten sticky because of their age. Does anyone know how to clean them and return them to their previous unsticky condition? (I've seen several tutorials on YouTube for cleaning other rubber items, but I certainly don't want to ruin the ***** in the car!)
The other option would be to replace the *****, but I haven't been able to find just the *****. Only the entire lever assemblies.
I had a customer the other day tell me that when he bought his Jaguar that every button in the car was sticky. Said the dealer told him it was a common problem with that year. He bought makeup removing wipes, just like baby wipes, and it turned all if the gooey rubber like new. Might be worth a shot. Good luck with it!
Buy a gallon of this and a good spray bottle. This cleans and leaves a natural shine to leather and vinyl. And it’s Body Shop safe, no silicone. You’ll be a detailing ace! Find it at your local auto paint suppliers.
