1968 327 run issues
Well, I fixed my vacuum issues, wiper door works fine now, it was the relay mounted on the passenger inner fender. Buttoned it up and took it around the block, won't take gas and puffs blue smoke out the exhaust. Back to the garage, in neutral, it runs fine, takes gas and doesn't puff any smoke. I did this twice with the same results. Any ideas would be appreciated, I'm stumped. No vacuum leaks, no gas leaks, choke works fine. As I stated, parked in the garage in neutral, it's a 4 gear, it runs fine, I can rev it as high as i want, no blue smoke and it runs smooth. I get out on the street, low rpm is ok, the minute I try to give it some pedal it starts missing bad. After about a quarter mile it starts puffing blue smoke. No oil leaks, fresh oil, not over full and fresh gas. Last Fall it was fine before I put it away. Over the Winter I did some cleaning up, new valve covers, new radiator, hei distributor, converted the carb from manual to electric choke.

S your choke sticking...sounds like it is rich. Put a timing light on it and make sure your timing is advancing correctly. Ive had a distributor seize before as well.

Grab a hold of the distributor. Will it budge at all? (retarded timing)
Hold-down clamp loose?
Make sure plugwires #5 & # 7 are no where near each other (Inductive Crossfire) in their wire looms.
Dirty fuel filter? Will still idle & rev, but not take a load.
