Welcome to the forum!

Thats not great, but not the worst either. How does the rest of the car look? Especially the kickup area of the rear wheel well.

Birdcage looks OK, . A little rust converter and paint and it'll be fine. No pictures of frame however.
Rubber body mount looks like it's in need of replacement. Big job.

Here are a few pics of the frame back by the back wheel. Everything looks mostly this way. I poked on it with a screwdriver it seems solid. What do you guys think?

Looks like mostly surface rust to me, should be alright.

Are you looking at buying this car, or do you already own it? I would look at post #107 of this thread or watch the video for a more in depth analysis of issues on these cars.

I already own it. I have been looking through the posts here on frame problems and started to get worried. I feel better now.
I'll check out the thread. thanks for the link
Also What would be the best way to protect/coat the frame without taking the body off?

Where are you located, what sort of climate?
If you have indoor storage during wet months and don't drive regularly on salted roads, my opinion is to not worry about coating the frame with anything. Without the ongoing exposure to rust-inducing conditions, it will be just fine as is.

Agreed, doesn't look bad at all for a 50 year old car.
