I'll miss looking at it, and the attention it ALWAYS draws.
I wanted to thank the forum, which has been an invaluable resource, with a few individuals in particular - @jebbysan, whose almost daily input I miss, @lars, whose input was way above and beyond, @leigh1322, and @Mako72.
As I mentioned on BaT, my C3 itch has been scratched, after finding an example in pretty much the exact spec I wanted, and it's time for a different toy. And after this numbers-matching experience, the next one will definitely be a restomod.
Sweet 71!
Sorry to see you go, but maybe you'll get the urge for another corvette.
Curious, are you happy with the selling price?
How easy or how difficult was BAT to list a car with them?
Any pressure to lower your reserve?
In today's market, I'm happy with the sell price. Less than I paid for it in mid-'22, which seems to have been the peak of the market, and way less than what I have in it, even doing all the work myself.
The last, and only other, time I listed a vehicle on BaT was in 2016, when there were roughly 50 live auctions at any given time, and no weekends. The amount of info you have to submit has increased substantially, but it's pretty straightforward. You'll want to include LOTS of pics. Their follow-up was strong.
I suggested a reserve initially, higher than my floor. They countered, as expected, with a # lower than I wanted to go. Asked them to meet in the middle, which they did.
I think it's the best online avenue to sell a special-interest car. It's certainly easier than any non-online alternative.
