Counterfeit Parts-Beware!

In 2023, just under 100,000 counterfeit automotive parts were seized at the border.
In 2024, over 211,000. (Of those, 450 were bad air bags)
What does all this have to do with us C3 guys & gals?
Some of you may recall some "iffy" NGK fake sparkplugs purchased from a big box supplier / shipper that starts with an "A".
That was a couple yrs back, so the bad ones should have been disposed of.
NOW, its AC Delco plugs. Seems there is some thin cheap metal at the electrode on the fakes.
Are these plugs for old Chevies? IDK Maybe, maybe not.
Article goes on to say to purchase parts from a reputable dealer or big chain parts stores.
If purchasing On-Line, note where the seller is located.
Sometimes overseas suppliers have U.S. dump warehouses which falsely indicates, From USA.
No need to tell all of us where you purchase parts. Anyone, and I mean anyone can unknowingly, unintentionally sell fake parts.
Buyer Beware.
