Default 68 Fuse box

Working on changing out my old glass fuse box on my early 68 convertible to a fuse block. I’m having trouble with not knowing what wires to hook to each positive. I only see one green wire that goes to a ground and I connected to negative post. Some say I could tie the hots together that go to each fuse. Is there anyone out there that has done this before and if so please help? Thanks I really appreciate it.

Just My Opinion...
Probably to TRY & save $$$ ?
You need to sit down and draw out a plan on paper...purchase a good line diagram for your year. then draw out a plan...
You do understand your original fuse panel has 2 halves a always HOT side and a Switched side.
The fuse panel you purchased has a HOT side buss only...It also has a common ground side buss...
The only real reason for a common ground on that panel is to light the fuse indicator if the fuse blows...
Your car already has mutual chassis ground locations, part of the main dash harness in this case...Again you need a drawing to go by...

The green wire in the original fuse panel is HOT when the headlight switch is pulled in 1st or 2nd position(s). It feeds the short 5amp (?) Fuse for the instrument lights. Once power passes through the short fuse the wire color changes to grey.
It is NOT a ground.

So the left side I presume is the side that stays hot along with two lower terminals? I bought one on eBay waited a week to come in. No freaking fuse box. So stupid. I was going to check each wire and look for voltage or low voltage and put on separate post. I just couldn’t figure out what wires go to the negative side. That’s where I’m confused. I have a diagram but in pieces.

I don't own a 69, I have a 77 so my fuse panel may differ.

So I guess that box isnt right for the 68. IU thought it didn’t matter if they were on the right terminals. Do you have any suggestiong besides getting a diagram? I have copys of them. Just kind of strange how it shows it.
