Default Hampton Beach NH Law enforcement statement

For those of us on the Upper East Coast, I was just informed that the NH State POlice are heavily enforcing a new noise ordinance in Hampton and North Hampton due to all the Bikes and cars bouncing off their rev limiters blow off valves and waste gates. So even if you dont get that radical they are pulling over everyone that revs their engine with louder exhaust. Not everyone does this but I am just passing along the information just in case you have a louder exhaust system than a stock Prius and may be in that area. No need to have to pay a fine if you start your car and rev the motor just a bit to clear its throat or just zoom down the street in first or second gear....being or acting immature aside, even if its fun to do silly stuff once in a while it has obviously gone to far for the residence so be warned.
I havent been warned about my exhaust but I can for see it being an issue in that area...be warned and be safe.

They'll enforce noise, but not the chit bags that come up from Lawrence MA and cause nothing but problems.

I avoid Hampton all summer. That said, I've been up and down the strip with some pretty damn loud stuff, and even the local cops give thumbs up. I imagine they're mostly just looking for morons being obnoxious, which will usually lead to finding other things during a stop.

I was a life guard at Hampton Beach way too many years ago (1978} in the summer after graduating front UNH before going to USAF pilot training. Your posts got me reminiscing even tho I was never hasseled about my Vette's noise - probably because it was a stock small block. Needless to say, it was a very fun summer

I ve been stopped over the years in different places for loud exhaust and even ticketed. Back in the day the local police banned my 68 from entering the town of Alexandria Bay in Upstate NY. I was never hot rodding or reving. It really comes down to the LEO at the time. One actually told me he was ticketing me because it had been a slow night.

Loud exhaust in a Corvette is like my Second Amendant rights. Im not giving it up.

It's nuts here. Summer time always turns this area into a zoo. Thankfully Wallys seems to be immune from certain groups that cause issues. I dont think they'd want to start anything in there without bringing a small army.

What I don't know is why bike/cars with minimal exhausts have to rev the vehicle coming up to a stop sign or light. And the continue to blip the throttle as they sit still?
As a car buddy would say. "Just because they are stupid noisy doesn't mean they are fast".

Fast and Furious......gotta have Nos, pronounce nauzzz.....I hate that. We always called Nitrous and N.O.S. was just a company so we never talked about them as a pronoun. Just a proper noun.
With my set up and its 70s style color pallet everyone asks me about nitrous. I think i will just so i can point at it and say its that tubing there...problem would be the small tank would be hidden under the top
