I have a window crank issue. When cranking the window up it will go up but eventually the crank starts “slipping” so to speak and I have to assist the window up with my hand as I crank. Before I tear everything apart does anyone know what parts I should grab that will fix this symptom?? Thanks so much !
Without taking it apart and looking at it, my best guess is that the piece that connects to the lift mechanism is probably worn out. When I took mine apart the pin in it was worn out and almost as sharp as a razor blade. It isn't expensive, when you get in there, I would lubricate anything that moves. If it hasn't been worked on before, the grease has probably turned hard. I almost had to chisel out some of the old grease to ensure everything moved easily. This part is what connects the window crank to the lift mechanism.
