Morning , I have a couple things going on with my 76. First I smell gas especially at the back rear passenger side tire. I see no leak and nothing on the ground. It smells not all the time but really during the first start up.
The reason I noticed was I had this slight smoke coming from that area and noticed fluid not gas that has dripped on top of the muffler and ran down the side. I saw no leak from the brake area or really anywhere. It’s like it fell on top of the muffler. Pics included.
The rubber feed and return fuel lines from tank to the hard lines connect in the R.H. rear quarter panel. Those rubber hoses are 50 years old. I would suggest that dropping the fuel tank and replacing those old lines would be a prudent line of action.
An seriously concider lifting your body and replacing those body mount bushings. WOW! are they shot!
What could that fluid be? It’s just on the RH muffler. Also the power steering under the card is leaking bad. Would you know a cost typically to replace that . Thanks for your help it must be the gas line. I smell it right at the top of RH wheel

On the R.H. muffler. The ONLY liquid above it is gasoline. Possibly mixed with under body coating or what you.
dropping the tank is actually easy.
Replacing those body mounts is definitely NOT.
As per your P.S. there are 4 hoses. Any one of which could leak. A pump. A control valve and a ram. Where is the leak? Which part?
Cost?
Seriously you need to find the source of the leak before you can ask that question.
