Are there any tricks or solutions for the leaking power steering valve? I have rebuilt it and replaced it with new https://www.corvettecentral.com/c3-68-82/steering/power-steering/63-82-power-steering-control-valve-rebuilt-562350
Where is it leaking, between the halves, at the hose fittings or?
To be honest I've given up on the rebuilt PSCV's. For years they were the way to go and quite reliable, but in the last 5 or so years I think I've been averaging one bad one out of every 3 or 4 I got in. The only one I carry now is the new repro's which have proven to be quite reliable. In 5 years I had one that wouldn't center and they replaced it, no questions asked.
Lone Star new units are / were pretty reliable, at least a few years back. Installed new hoses and one or two had tiny fluid drips. Bought a set of flare wrenches to tighten them, and still had leaks. A guy on the Forum said to loosen the leaking fittings and then retighten, sure enough it worked. Six years latter that’s the only thing that doesn’t leak on the 73 small block. Go Figure.
My 73 leaked just a little even after I had it rebuilt.
I purchased a Borgeson system so I could eliminate all the components that seem to be where the leaks come from.
I never got it installed and ended up selling it and converted to manual steering.
The easiest way to deal with the power steering control valve is to delete it!
Convert to manual, or to Borgeson power steering, and enjoy driving your car, instead of fixing it.
Though there are more thorough ways to convert to manual, this Borgeson 990002 Drag Link Adapter (Amazon link) will get you started immediately by eliminating the PSCV, and you'll be halfway to a Borgeson power steering conversion, should you decide to go that route.

I haven't been under to check where its leaking yet, i just saw it running out from under the car and thought" here we go again" 🙄. Is this one different than the one at Corvette central? https://www.corvettecentral.com/c3-6...lve-new-562336
