Default Small World

I went to go fishing this morning and it was a total bust. Boat didn't run right, conditions were horrible. So, my buddy called me and asked to go to a Cars and Coffee event here in Fernandina Beach FL. I roll up in my 68 and see another C3 and jokingly ask if I can park here. Two guys start laughing and guide me into the spot. I part and pop the hood on my car and admire the work of the car next to mine. One guy starts pointing out my electric wiper conversion and telling the other guy about it and asked me about it as well.
I begin raving about this guy on this forum, Richard454 sold me the parts and was a huge help getting it set up. How he also sold me the brackets and wiring for the headlight conversion also. One guy gives me a strange look and then smiles kind of weird at me. He asked me my name and we shake hands and he then drops a bomb on me, he is Richard454 and recently moved to the area about a year ago. We chat for awhile and he asks if I want one of the carbon fiber covers he has for the ww actuator.
I ordered parts from him when I lived in San Diego and moved to this area three years ago.
Small world indeed!

Yes- we were laughing as I said - "You can park here- it's not a Ford as we don't have any oil dri!!!

WOW- OK - it didn't realize you were "Lobzilla- I haven't seen you posting here in a while- but then I haven't been posting as much either- as life got in the way!
MAN- beautiful car BTW!!! NICELY modded!!!

Got your email and we will definitely have to meet up!

My small world story- when I first moved here-

A buddy of mine's Corvette shop- his 10th anniversary - was having a big BBQ event. So living in Atlanta at the time-
I was going to drive up there- and stop- see my buddy that had just moved from Atlanta to Kansas on the trip back.

First night up in South Dakota- I meet everybody that works for him- and one told me his Dad lived in Fernandina Beach Florida- as I had on an Amelia Island BB hat.
Didn't think anything of it as that is where my ex-wife and I had gone on several vacations.

Get back home- wife said she wanted a divorce was- just looked on the map and decided I was going to move to Florida.
A couple months later - I was here- in Fernandina Beach- still don't know how I did it all- between divorce - selling my house- storage- moving stuff and cars AND buying a house!!!

So I meet the neighbor- and we are talking - where we are from- she says South Dakota. I tell her I was just there a couple months ago.
WELL she then tells me her husband's kid lives up there in the same small town as my buddy's shop.
Her husband comes outside and we start talking- his son works for my buddy!!!

Turns out my neighbor Lance is a car guy too- Small world indeed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Richard at a car show in Atlanta a few years ago. He was very personable and he told me how he manufactured the electric headlight conversions.
