1981 Door Panel
thanks
The "hokey stick" armrest and door handle bezel do a good bit of the job of securing the panel. Besides the armrest and bezel, one screw goes in the top rear of the panel, and two go through the carpet on the lower portion of the panel. There's a lip at the top of the panel that sort of hangs to the top of the door frame.
In the first illustration below, number "4" shows the approximate location of the screw in the top rear of the panel, and "Y" shows where the two screws that go through the carpet go. "
View A" below gives the measurements for the top rear screw.
Call out "Y" gives some information on the hole size and installation of the screws in the carpeted section.
This illustration below shows the installation of the armrest and handle bezel. I might be inclined to hang the panel and install the armrest first, and then install the panel screws.
