Default Horn help

1980, 350, automatic

Members,
all of a sudden, my horn works.
It was dead when i first got it, and had not yet researched the problem, but started working all of a sudden. It sounds like a muffled childs toy however.
Anyone have a similar experience?

I know they can go bad when water gets in them. Interesting that it randomly started working again. Hit any big bumps recently?

No big bumps, just crumbling streets in my neighborhoods (story for another day).
However, ..I did stumble on how the telescopic feature works on my steering column, and had never utilized it till now.
(all this time I thought somehow the car didnt have it installed, or it was changed out...never saw anywhere in the forum or manuals how to unlock/lock the column. It was staring me in the face the whole time) I'm thinking by moving the wiring, operating the telescoping feature, inside the column, it somehow made the horn work, after being stationary for a LONG time.....15+ years.
I'm hesitant on opening up that column, but I'll research first. I think thats the reason for the silence all this time

Get yourself one of these. And a Shop Manual and an Assembly Instruction Manual.

2025 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Default City Bus

I have the middle finger option available especially when a city Bus makes a left turn in front of me, it is much easier to use with the t-tops off. Now in the process of adding daytime running cobb lights since I believe the bus driver may not have noticed a red car coming at him.. I am sure the folks at that intersection understood the communication they witnessed.
