kind of in the shadows so to speak. Can't imagine any benefit to filling in those depression's. But no harm if you did. Once all the trim is back on no one will ever see them.

Also, I found it interesting how snuggly my replacement window fit into the window frame. There really wasn't a lot of wiggle room; either up or down, left or right. Where the snug fit is apparent is aligning the top of the window so that the glass didn't touch the clips holding in the trim molding. with the bottom of the glass sitting on the bottom steel bracket, that serves as the resting point for the windshield wipers, the top of the glass was just missing contact with the metal clips.
