Took the seats out of my 1977 corvette to work on installing my new carpet set (Al Knoch), only to realize the bolts were a mismatched and haphazard mess. Definitely not a safe situation but I can’t afford the bolt kit offered online. Any info on the bolt size/ what’s needed to secure them? I do still have the bracket panels.
thanks.
On a 77 Corvette. The bolts that hold the tracks to the floor?
These ones?
Hoping that's what your asking. I removed one. Absolutely factory original bolt.
5/16ths course. Standard body bolts. Captive washer. 3/4 inches long.
Go to a junk yard. The metal cars hold there front fenders on with these bolts.
Can't imagine what 8 proper bolts might cost. Your certain you can afford fuel?
Yes exactly. I appreciate the reply.
It’s less not being able to afford it, and more wanting to keep it within budget to maintain some resell profit where I can. She’s pretty far from perfect, but I can’t wait to get on the road! Thank you!
