My son installed aZZ4 engine into a 1976. There is a slow drip(weep) from the connection at the pump and the original line. Is there a chance that he has put a non metric line into a metric pump.fitting.
He has changed the O ring and it is definately tightend up. I see there is adaptors on line, so thinking this may be the problem.
This is in Canada

Reason: add
The ZZ4 engine has nothing to do with it. What pump certainly does. Original pump, or replacement original pump not likely. A metric fitting and a orginal line. Not likely to screw together.
Perhaps try backing off the line. (Which should be a inverted flare type fitting) and re torquing.
