The original brochure had the plastic gas tank mentioned and also different facts about one of the 427's. The revised "R-1" edition lowered the specs for the 427, The timing I think, and added a new interior color to the back page and of course dropped the plastic fuel tank information.
Did you know that my two "pregnant Corvettes" the 1990-1996 fiberglass Oldsmobile Silhouette minivans all had a plastic fuel tank. As did the Pontiac Transport and the Lumina minivans. MTD the automotive parts company that I worked in maintenance at for 34 years until they closed our plant in 2007, made a lot of those minivans parts and I bought a ninety and a ninety-five.
I forgot to mention that the small 68 only Corvette flag emblem on the shifter console is huge in the sales brochures. Lou.
