Default 72 hood on an e69

I have an e69 found a 72 hood. Will it fit on my car ?

I think the press molded hood will fit. The issue may be the hood latches may not. So I would do some research and you might have to buy a matching 72 male latch or a 69 female latch. And the fiberglass mount on the underside of the hood might have varied too. So need to research. The hood support for a 69 rachets open and closed and the 72 hood support just swivels a little to lock, but you can I think interchange this. So the only big issue for me is the hood latches. Hope this helps.

Driver side hood latch will need to be replaced. You’ll also need the black release cable that uses only the center clamp location. Probably best to replace the lower bullet style retainers with the later cone style (although either style should work). The 1972 hood support is in a different location so you’ll need that as well. Everything else should fit
