I have found several sources for rebuilt shifter assemblies but was hoping for parts to rebuild myself ('72). Anyone aware of suppliers? Also found interesting item underneath the shifter assembly shown at the bottom....factory option?? Bent pivot pin Bent detent tab Looks 51 yrs old to me....explains a few things regarding assembly care. Not sure how else it would get there.
I was trying to figure out how the pivot got bent but then noticed the removal tool in the background... 🤣
I'd try mounting the shifter to a solid surface or in a vise and see if I could use a drift to straighten the pivot. After that, it's probably a pretty straight forward job to rebuild it.

Look at that post I added above. Looks like most of it is there and you can just clean it up. ....about that bent pin: I was gonna say you could probably fabricate a new pin but I found one for $10.99
