CPP master cylinder for 77?
In a previous thread, thought of rebuilding my original Master cylinder, but the rebuild kit cost me almost as much as just buying a new MC.
I want to buy a new MC and be done with it.
I’m from Belgium and was looking on Rockauto and Ebay for an aluminum version. I found one from CPP on Ebay.
EBAY:
CPP aluminum master cylinder with bleeder kit for € 121 (incl. shipping + tax)

Will this CPP fit my 77 with Power brakes?
Is CPP good?
( THAT CPP sure ain't trademarked Chevrolet Performance Products ! )
suggest long-established brand Raybestos P/N MC39052 with Lifetime Warranty AND is engineered to fit 1977-1982 Corvette AND has great reputation. $50 USD

Yes, MC39052 Is Cast Iron and Is China --- (you can paint or powder coat to fake AL)
AC Delco's P/N 18M91 Cast Iron casting clearly reads "Made In USA" but has a Two-year Warranty $54 USD

(In Belgium the look of the parts is important for the yearly car inspection.)
Do your Belgian inspectors Prefer to see an Aluminum MC ? Do they Prefer Aluminum MC, In Spite of the fact that part was never approved by vehicle's OEM ?
Why would the inspector Prefer a Non-OE part over another part that Is an OE-replacement ?
Why ?
EDIT: It has to look stock? I'd ask for paperwork from the Belgian authorities to see what the rule actually states. There are plenty of aftermarket parts that are superior to the original. The C3 braking system is from the mid 60s.
Paint it with Rustoleum "Aged Metallic" fake rust paint (Amazon link).

I mean:
I want to go for aluminum because it has extra advantages like no need for painting and less weight.
The brake fluid damages the master cylinder paint over time. Aluminum wil have some corrosion but does not have to be painted and also because of weight reasons.
My current master cylinder has a horrible leak on the backside. I don’t want to make the mistake of rebuilding something and then noticing leaks again.
(I rebuild my original brakes ones. After a month the brakes started leaking again. I bought new brakes and the problem was solved no leaks for almost 3 years now.)

Want a lighter C3 ? find an old first gen Opel GT (MY1968 - MY1973), those "baby vettes" are Much lighter; then stuff a modern turbocharged GDI driveline into it. They're even lighter today than when delivered new; Rust never sleeps.

I have an aluminum MC that I bought years ago, made by SSBC, but they are no longer made.
