I have a 1972 LT_! on the back i have a 9 leaf rear spring and KYB gas shocks. The front suspension I cut the springs 3/4 of a turn , 1 1/8 front sway bar and a spreader bar between the upper a- arms and i'm using Bilstein Sport shocks. it handles great and rides nice and smooth.

I just replaced all 4 of my worn out KYB gas shocks with 4 new Bilstein shocks, and it was a noticeable improvement , I think they were the recommended B6 series, not the harsher B8’s.

Another vote for the Bilsteins. Have on my 66 and 68. Also put them on myself son's C-5. Jerry

I also removed the stickers from my new Bilstein shocks, scuffed them up and painted them with Seymour dark gray spray just for good measure.
(didn’t really care for the blue and yellow color that they came with)

Yes they are a bit gaudy. But who really sees them?
Bottom line is, you install them and forget about it. No need to adjust or fiddle with them. They just work well.
