This is on 1981,when I did a lot of work with engine over a year ago, never hooked hoses back up,just set them aside, now hooking them back up,no issues with One going to intake,I guess that’s the 5/8 hose, but the one going to the water pump,it had like a metal tubing two bends in it,the nipple, then a short piece of hose maybe 2 inches long then the metal tubing from there to the hose, well, now don’t see any way to hook it up properly,I’m assuming because of the headers, not sure, but can’t I just, discard the metal tubing and get another piece of hose, and put like a pvc connector to hook the two together.
It bolts to the back of the A/C compressor and works fine with headers. Keeps the hose routing safe. I would just use it. Bolts to back of A/C compressor Keeps hoses away from hot header tubes Short run to water pump.
Suggest no PVC in auto heater hoses. If in a pinch, perhaps CPVC. Stick w/ auto heater hose or metal.
If ya place a metal ball valve in each of those 2 hoses; you can close them and isolate the heater core. And usually lower cabin temps. Reopen whenever needed.
