Passsenger Window Adjustments
I then followed the "Door Window Adjustment instructions on page 1B-12 of the 1973 service manual. Followed the instructions for the driver's door and was able to get the window working properly. Also greased up the tracks and both the window and lock mechanisms and things are great on the driver's side. Unfortunately, not so well on the passenger side. Made adjustments and window was even with the top, the windshield pillar and the rear pillar. With window up I can close the door and everything looks good. However, if the window is down and the door is closed, you can only close the window halfway before the top front edge of the window hits the windshield pillar. Following the instructions, I figured the glass was too far inboard. The instructions to adjust glass too far Outboard or Inboard state, "Loosen bolts (D, E). Back off adjusting screws (G)." I do not see "adjusting screws (G) on Figure 20. It appears from Figure 20 that Bolt E is located around the middle of the door and is a vertical bolt. I just don't see a bolt near that location (horizontal or vertical) nor do I see any holes in which a bolt could be inserted. Unfortunately, just adjusting bolts D did not solve the problem.
Can anyone tell me where Bolt E and adjusting screw G are located. Alternatively, give me so idea how to fix. So you don't have to find your service manual, I am attaching figure 20.
Thank you,
