Default 1969…Numbers Matching?

I believe this to be the original engine to my 1969 convertible 427. It was rebuilt and blueprinted by Clay Smith Cams(came with the documentation) in California but the deck was resurfaced to the point that the stamp is difficult to read. (See pics) seems like enough numbers match to validate but any thoughts? Are there other methods to validate other than the front passenger deck area? Thanks!

Look for casting number and date back of block

Another place to check is the transmission, passenger side at the rear of the main case.

you can use a weak acid to raise the numbers, its been done in gunsmithing for identifying damaged, destroyed and removed serial numbers for decades.

Don't put acid on it, you will only raise doubts.

Look at the back shelf and identify the block casting number and the casting date code.
