Default Seat Covers Stink

I purchased a set for my 68 about a year ago, they had a pungent smell then and a year later not much better, I called Al Knock and they said never heard of such. Just checking if any one else may have this issue before I call and send one back in a vapor proof bag so they can take a whiff.

Thanks Mike

I’ve bought several sets from him over the past few years. No bad smell. Mine were standard vinyl 69 covers.

Did you notice an odor in the foam bottom piece or the back foam before you installed the new covers?
Did the new covers smell when you opened the shipping package,

Lastly...there are some real jerks out there...a disgruntled employee could have sabobtaged the inner linings on your new covers.

I aired out my foam backings for several days in the sun before installing new covers.

A.I. nose how to say it:
"Al Knotch" is likely meant as "Al Notch," pronounced like "Al" (as in the name) followed by "Notch" (rhymes with watch, botch), with the "otch" sounding like "ah-ch" (short 'a' sound). Think of it as "Al" + "N-otch," stressing the first syllable of "Notch,"

Whowever....
The "ch" sound like "k" (a hard 'k' sound) appears in English words borrowed from Greek, like chemistry, chorus, and character, stemming from the Greek letter Chi (χ).

So...what do you thinch about the stinch?
