My opinion is that this car has been heavily modified with very little left that is original.
Even though the car looks nice, I would not waste my time looking at it.
If all the parts are of top quality and if the work done was also top quality, it might be an ok deal.
But it’s a crap shoot for sure.
The quality of the work displayed in the pictures is fare but not even great.
What you can see WILL cost you huge sums to straighten out.
I would bet this car would not be a good driver you could depend on.
There are much nicer more original examples of C3’s out there for sale for the same or even less money.
I personally would run, not walk, away from this car.

No chance i'm spending $40,000 on this. It's beyond "OUTA LINE" !! The number should start with a "2" & not all 9's following it if you catch my drift. The 69 mentioned was a much better deal & topless as well
Ok 1st lesson - Camaros and Chevelles sell for more money than C3s at almost any level of modification. They just do. And people seem to care less about mods in those other body styles, maybe because the vast majority of those cars were just basic models. But even LT-1 to LT-1 or big block to big block, the C3 loses the price war. There is just more demand for Camaros & Chevelles.
2nd - Corvettes have a lot of unique parts, much more so than other GM cars. And original GM parts always seem to work much better than the aftermarket reproduction parts. Many guys online here are lovers of the all-original cars. All original cars sell for much more money than modified cars. The 69 model year is especially near and dear to us.
3 - I would not buy Any aftermarket car, of any body style, unless it had lots of documentation as to what was in it, who built it, and I could give it a thorough test drive. No test drive, no deal. There are 1000s of potential running issues with aftermarket parts & builds.
4 - But if you are just going to drive it, it takes a well built car to make a good driver, regardless of where the parts came from.

I punted. I found a much nicer car at 3/4 the price, the only downside was being slightly outside my 68-69 sweet spot.

If you just want chrome bumper cars, I wouldn’t limit yourself to 68-69.
Any chrome bumper car 68-72 is going to be great.
When I bought my 73 any full chrome bumper car was priced just over my budget for an equally clean car.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I Still feel it's a mid to high $20's value car. But there is an *** for every seat & some sucker, that hasn't a clue, with big pockets, that sees how pretty it looks will get taught a lesson, just like the guy who recently bought it & is already trying to dump it !

'73 is where I landed. Got a 454 ls4 that has a cam and entire top end. Mostly OEM too as best I can tell. Allegedly 550 at the crank. No docs to support this though.

Now you need to provide us with a ton of pictures and the details of the build!

Looks nice. That's one tall hood... I'm curious how much vision you have toward the passenger side of the windshield.
