can anyone verify if both rear hatch pins are locked in when closed. I recently changed my hinges and am trying to align the harch glass. It’s now aligned, but I’ve noticed that when I close the glass, only the passenger side pin locks in and driver side is just sitting in the opening. It feels wrong and is obviously looser on the driver side. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the response. I purchased new hinges years ago from Steve. The install was completed, and I just aligned and bolted the glass and hinges down. I noticed the driver side pin wouldn’t lock in. I looked again today and found the locking mechanism stuck against the wall area under the weatherstripping, It was pretty weird but I finagled it a little and got it expose itself without further issue,
Great news. I got one of the last sets before he retired. Those hinges were very robust!
I never had to install them because mine were still barely in line. I removed my gas lifting struts to take the pressure off the hinges since I never raised the glass anyway.
I had to sell my 82CE due to some financial pinch during the COVID era. Really miss that beauty.
