Getting oil out of anything is a big problem. Depending on how bad it is you might need to bite the bullet and replace your carpet. I had the same thing happen years ago and when I pulled the carpet to try and clean it, it just dripped oil everywhere. I had to throw the carpet and jute away and use mineral spirits to scrub the floor several times to get it clean. The oil went into the radio and cleaning the oil from there was not fun. A Q-tip with alcohol cleaning many times and it finally came back to life and it still works many years later.
If it isn't too bad you might want to try some odorless mineral spirits on the carpet. Test it on a spot that can't be seen to ensure you don't damage the color or the carpet. Alcohol might also be a possibility. It you try thee, be sure to do it where you have good ventilation. Whatever you try it probably is not going to be fun. If you pull the carpet, you might be able to wash it in a laundry sink with laundry soap.

I bought a new carpet when this happened to me. I was about to throw away my mats when i decided to hose them down with CRC brakeclean...clean as a whistle...wasted the money on new carpets.....but you have to remove them from tha car to do it properly. It just runs through the carpet and rinses it out. You would end up wit it all under the carpet in the floor pan

Pull the carpet out first. Perhaps you luck out. Perhaps they disintegrate and need to be replaced anyway. The later was certainly the case when my 79's heater core leaked.
I'm just getting ready to install carpet and was just talking about this. Those old line gauges always leak or they have for me. This time around I'm going with a electric oil pressure gauge and am putting this old problem to rest and done with that
take a cue from the pros: Car dealerships
They pull the seats & carpets out of car/truck, Pressure wash the carpets with simple green or equivalent.
Air-dry outside in sun by draping them over something clean.
Replace oil line with quality, more robust Armored line.(NOT some no-name garbage from amazombie.)
