100% recommend trying autocross to everyone if they haven't tried it before -- it's a hoot! I think it can also make you a better driver because you're pushing the turning and braking capabilities of the car. You'll learn what it can do and what it can't.
Curious why the folks who set up the course didn't put any pointer cones on their sides to indicate direction of the turn and gates.

If you have kids of a driving age I can't think of a better way to learn basic skills that are impossible to get from driving on the street.
These guys are right there is no better place to learn for someone starting out because there’s really not much you could hit and do any damage. Any gasoline car is eligible.
