Default C3 Calipers

I have a 69 roadster, amd need to replace my front calipers.

I have seen listing for version 1 or version 2 calipers. I am looking for calipers that are sleeved, and have o-rings. Is there a difference in how the 2 version fit?

The reason I ask, is that I bought 2 from a local supplier, and both are Delco castings, but the driver's side caliper rubs against the rotor hub(and the brake pad retaining rod). Passenger side has plenty of.clearance. replaced them 8 years ago with lip seal calipers and they were fine.

Is this a tolerance difference, or is there a difference in the version? I thought all C2 & C3 calipers would fit.

The only versions I know of are the '65 & early '66 calipers that have a phenolic disc on the end of the piston and the later-'66 to '82s that do not.

Fitment between them all is the same. Perhaps you have bent mounting ears or the disc isn't fully on the hub.

Are you sure they didn't give you a rear caliper?
Does it have 1 bleed screw on the upper end of the caliper?

thanks for the feedback - the caliper mounts seem straight, as the caliper Bbolts up straight, and appears true...but you never know...

Rotor is fully on and solid.

Even though the rotors were not replaced, can you measure the diameter of each rotor to see if there is a difference in dia.?
