Default 1979 Windshield Wiper Switch and Bezel Trouble

I recently purchased a new dash from Al Knoch and am working on getting everything installed.
I am wondering if anyone has the secret or any advice on getting the windshield wiper switch and bezel installed? I am having a terrible time getting the switch face to sit flush inside the bezel. I assembled everything when the dash was out of the car but when I have the dash in the car, the switch seems to pull back a little leaving a gap between the bezel and switch face. The bezel doesn’t want to stay in place either. I have made sure that the wires are not pulling on the switch or anything else. Would it be appropriate to put a little bit of weather strip adhesive in the corners to keep everything stationary? I have attached a picture of what is going on below. Thanks in advance for any help.
Josh

It looks like you haven't got the "fingers" on top of the switch properly engaged, see this guide

Hey thanks for that info. I now understand what the fingers on the top side of the bezel are supposed to do. Appreciate all your help!
