Default Small Block Smog Pump Part

Does anyone know the part I need to be able to bolt the pulley to? Is it reproduced or do I need to find an old smog pump? Thanks for your help.

Bill

I’ll check out mine tonight. Assume yours is for a 69 SB L46 considering the pulley part #. Off the top of my head I think the pulley mounts to a round spacer. Problem is I forget how the spacer then mounts to the pump! Getting old.

****EDIT****

Now that I think about it I believe the spacer and pulley are attached with 3 machine bolts that go into the hub.

Your hub does not look right. I think it’s missing the piece that goes around the hub that has the holes for the spacer and pulley. It’s either that or it’s the wrong pump because that pulley bolts to that hub.

Are you piecing this all together or is this original off your car? I see the pulley is a reproduction so that’s why I am asking.

John, I bought an original smog set up and the pump looked original with all the other parts and hoses. I did not realize it was missing the spacer or piece to accept the bolts. reached out to Bill Hodel but have not heard back. Yes, L-46. Just not sure what the part is called so I can try to find one. Thanks for any more help. Bill

Just phoned a friend. He said it’s simple and yes your hub with the bolt holes is missing.

Anyhow he said you MUST remove the back cover and then press the hub over the center (your hub is missing). He said you cannot do this without removing the back cover or it will not place right. He said apply some removable locktite to the center and press on the filter (fan). Then you can bolt on the (spacer for your L46) and pulley.
