Default Seatbelts Continued

I recently installed plastic sleeves on the inner side (female) seatbelts. They seem to be attached securely but they are able to swivel a few inches back and forth. Does anyone know if these are designed to move in this manner? Or should they be in a fixed position and unable to move?

How tight in the attaching bolt? If you feel it has too much play you could snug it up some more.

It feels pretty tight. I’m not absolutely certain how these mounts are designed so I didn’t want to risk damage by over tightening. I was curious how belts on other owner’s vehicles functioned?

Mine felt loose until I tightened it up a bit more. The piece it attaches to is a pretty stout piece of metal attached to the body.

I’ll tighten it up a bit then. Thanks.

It does need to swivel to accommodate the forward/backward seat track movement for using the lap belt. As long as the attaching bolt is torqued to spec (35-45#ft) then it's good to go.
