I have been trying to remove the sun visors on my '77. Is there a trick to getting them off of the rod? I have pulled, twisted and pulled, looked for a clip or latch, etc. but can not get them off.
I'm thinking he's trying to remove the actual visor from the rod. Not the rod from the car.
However, I have never needed to perform this task.
So I'm no help at all.
Yes the pin comes out, but unlikely without removing from car...
I few drops of Kroil penetrant, chuck it up in soft jaws vise and rotate back in forth while pulling, add a few more drops of Kroil, back in forth pulling and it came out after several cycles...
The pin is about 6 3/4" in length...
Suggest a towel or micro fiber cloth over the vinyl that will be touched by any tool. ie pliers, vise grips, soft vice, etc to hold it in place.
Vinyl tears easily.
