Bought 78 base model last year. It had 70 series
tires on it. I put 255/60/15 on it all around. Had it
aligned and I noticed the right front wheel rubs on
turns. Doesn’t look like it was ever hit. Any
ideas?? Should I go with a different size up front?
In 1978 if you ordered the 255/60/15 tires they did some trimming to provide some clearance. As you can see in the first pic between the blue tape it is trimmed and also the inner corner of the fender lip was also trimmed. (small triangular cut). Smaller front should work.
