Default Summit Racing Issues??

I’ve been trying to order parts from Summit Racing for the past several days but I can’t put items in the cart, can’t place an order and can’t get into my account.
Is anyone else having problems?
I read that if you don’t approve to use their cookies and approve their new privacy policy which allows them to use and sell your personal information they will no longer allow you to order on line and will delete your account information.
Has anyone found this to be true?
If so, they just lost a loyal customer that been with them since they first opened.

I've had no problems but then I don't pay attention to the cookie and privacy notice.
I click the button that makes it go away so I can look at the parts.

I did not realize they wanted to sell my info... I guess that's what I get for ignoring the notices.

Can you make a phone order?

I plan to call them tomorrow to see what the deal is.
I’ve emailed their customer service section who can’t see any problems with my account.
I’ve deleted the app twice and reinstalled but it’s a no go at this point.
I can log into my account with my phone but only if I agree to let them share my information.
I’ve always ordered by phone but started on line because I could order 24-7 so I’ll go back to doing it by phone if needed.

I just tried their site. No issues. But their overseas shipping has gotten ridiculous. So I'm not ordering.

Not Summit, but I've had several vendor purchases fail. I'm sure a lot of them use the same backend, and if AWS, or whatever it is, is having a bad day, that might be your problem.

Otherwise, try to turn off your VPN, and/or try a different browser.

Default Summit is a mess

I've had a lot of problems with Summit over the last 10 days or so. I do all my shopping on line since I am deaf. I believe they are working to enhance their security and have gone way overboard. For awhile they were blocking my IP address which made their site unusable. (I use Safari with "Private Browsing" and "Hide my IP" and that is not going to change). They have apparently resolved the excessive blocking of IP addresses but I still come across a lot of CAPTCHA's. I buy a lot of car parts and virtually all is available from other sites so that is my solution.

App? What app? Why aren't you going directly to their web site? I ordered a new carburetor two weeks ago and had no problem.

I don't use a tablet or phone for ordering, so can't offer advice there. Whenever I run into website problems with my laptop, I clear the cookies and restart the browser. Usually fixes these sorts of ordering glitches.

Sorry, I’m not using the correct terminology.
I’m ordering direct from their website.

Just placed an order Saturday with no issue. Try another web browser or clear the cache on the one you are using. You can Google how to clear the cache for whatever browser you are using if you dont know how.

I ordered from them a week ago. The order went thru fine, but there was a glitch on their end for shipping information. I never did get a shipping confirmation email like I always have, but the tracking number was listed on my order on the website under my account. All was well, so I thought. Then the day AFTER it was supposed to be delivered (that was a FedEx problem), Summit sends me an email saying that my box had just shipped THAT DAY! My account showed they shipped 2 separate boxes. I panicked and called Summit, and after talking to 3 different people I was told it was a glitch in their system on their end, the box shipped 5/7 and the box shipped 5/12 both had the same tracking number. The parts finally showed up 2 days late.....the one time on a 13 month project that the parts really needed to show up on time

They’ve told me PayPal can be an issue and I’ve experienced it myself so I avoid it. Other than that the site is fine, I just spent a ton of $$ with them recently both on mobile and at home.

Sounds like its on your end. If using VPN try turning it off. I use multiple browsers on my Win 11 PC for different purposes and configure them differently.

I use Edge ‘right out of the box’ without changing much of anything for troublesome sites. Its very permissive and usually works if I have trouble like you described.

On my iPhone I use DuckDuckGo and if I have trouble with a site Chrome ‘right out of the box’ with no changes to the base install is also permissive.

How old is your tablet or pc? I have a iPad that is five or six years old and it can’t even open the Home Depot website! Using my one year old IPad the other day, I wasn’t able to order some items from HD, so just went to the store instead, I bet they lost a ton of money that morning.

I spent almost an hour on the phone with Summit’s IT Support team.
They transferred me to a couple people who had no clue how to fix the issues I was having.
I finally talked with one person who said that he knew there was a problem because he had another identical call earlier.
He said it was something he could not fix and opened a ticket for someone higher up the food chain.
Two days later I was able to log into my account and it functioned as it should.

Do you use a VPN? Often when I get strange issues like this it's because of the VPN. Solution it to try alternate servers or just turn it off.

Everything works on my end.
It was a problem with their system and their IT people fixed it so it is now working.
