125 miles north and slightly further west than St Louis, Mo, also known as the city 20 miles northeast of Hannibal, Mo of Mark Twain fame. Quincy, Illinois, a little German burg, with damn near a bar and a church every where you turn. once known as the stove capital of the world in the 1800's, it's a nice little city of about 45,000. totaled up I have lived here basically 35 of my 52 years on this big blue marble.
From St. Charles County (MO)....western suburbs of St. Louis. Gary, I also lived in Quincy for about 5 years (mid '80s)...and grew up in Hannibal. My wife is from Quincy and she still has family there. Nice town, would like to move back there some day.
