Chassis
Rolling chassis. Frame, appears to be a late , , see pics
Rolling chassis will consist of frame, wheels, front suspension and rear suspension including rear end, antissway, trailing arms, etc. no steering components. $2500 with clean title. No radiator Support, and front cross member (under radiator) is rusty. Frame is light surface rust only, but is bent about 1” on the left side where the frame rises just before the rear of the engine. Posted pics of this here before, everyone says $300 repair with a competent repair shop, but I can’t find anyone to do it and is probably the “straw that broke the camels back” for me deciding to not finish the project.

Mechanical

Engine less carb (see pics) 1968 427. $500
---pan to manifold, no accessories, will include harmonic dampner.
NOM Big Block. 1968 code. Old edelbrock intake, holly carb. Ran when parked, but its sat a while and probably could use a rebuild. Has a wicked cam, don’t know what, but I could barely get 10in of vacume. (pending sale)

Transmission (see pics) $300
Unknow at this point. It is a 4-speed but reverse is up and to the left! LOL.

sold
Original steering box $100
Rebuilt steering box $200
Spal aluminum rad and fans $600.
Serpentine kit with remote power steering res $300 SOLD!
Speed demon carb $200
Holly 4di port injection. Missing o2 sensor. Purchased used and never installed. $750 (new this is like $2500!)

Hooker super comp headers, coated, one slight depression put in one pipe to clear ps pump. $500 (over $700 new!!)
More to come as I dig through all my boxes!

Just some extra comments

Body off Frame

Front surround appears to have been replaced sometime in its history, fiberglass seems thin to me, but I was told the 1968 glass was thin compared to later years. Right front fender was damaged and repaired by previous owner.

Birdcage seems OK, but I have not torn it down all the way to inspect. At first it seemed bad, but it turned out that the molding around the windshield had metal reinforcement and THAT is what rusted, not the frame itself.

. Rear clip is in good shape, but repairs needed around wheel wells were it looks like someone ran tires that were to wide. The fender looks fine, but the “lip” is missing or cracked.

Suspension

Looks to me like previous owner redid entire suspension with VBP parts, but then the car sat a while.

New seat backs
Lots of new trim parts (latches bezels etc.)

I will take 10k for everything or whittle it away part by part. there is a LOT of new stuff, and extras with this car. I am in las vegas. I listed this before, but now I am serious about moving this thing out. I will take pics and all prices are negotiable. I have no ability to split the front/rear clips/birdcage, so if you want that, you have to come and get it. If you need something for a 68 that I didn't list, I probably have it LOL. Also, I am not sure what the title goes with, the body or the frame, anyone know? I have deleted my ph#, and email, because I think I am violating the rules, please don't pm me either because I think thats not allowed as well. Sorry for the confusion. some basic pics here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1630267

If you have any SMOG stuff, or a set of door / jamb wedges, I'd like to be first on the list. Thanks, john

I'd like to buy the rear bumpers if shipping isn't too much. Can you send pictures and info to 71coupe@comcast.net?

Whats your zip for shipping? I will send pics, to verify condition, but they look like any other brand new chrome rear bumpers.

thanks, the door jamb wedges consist of 2 small "wedges" that are attached to the door jamb (on body) and door. They meet when the door gets closed. They are on both doors /jambs, totalling 4 peices. They are about 1 inch tall apiece, and are held in place with screws, they are ususally painted over. I think one hald may be plastic, and the other is metal. I left you a voicemail with my # thanks, john

John, will look for the wedges. Carpet is full set, and bought as "correct" although I am not an NCRS judge and wouldn't know the difference. Not wooden steering wheel. Have to get weights to calc shipping so give me a day to box up parts.

Check out the pics, any numbers I could see, I took pictures of. I would be willing to ship, but would have to charge some sort of crating fee.

Is the front bumper straight and in very good condition. Could you send a picture or two my way. Mine is tweaked at one corner. Looking for a very good one.

Pics, right. Lucky for me, I can't view them at work. I will get back with you tomorrow.

Got an idea an crate/shipping? I've never had anything that big or heavy shipped any distance...

I'm interested in the bumperettes. Do you also have the rear interior quarter trim panels and retainers? Give me some shipping cost to 42301.

Thanks!

should have shipping for you tomorrow. Do you know that 68 bumperettes are NOT the same as 69's. I am not sure what the rear interior quarter trim panel is, do you have a picture?

I always thought the 68/69 bumperettes were the same and the 70-72 were different. The aftermarket distributors have the 68/69's the same for both years? I'm still interested in the bumperettes!

The interior quarter trim panels are behind the seats against the body and are used to cover the gap between the carpet and door frame. They also cover the the hinge area of the soft top frame.
