1968 990 Big Block Heads
I acquired a set of Big Block 990 heads very rare dated D-22-8 and E-21-8 never used still in the GM boxes with all inspection marks still there. Price $1950 plus shipping. Would prefer local pick-up or meet 100 mile radius for a fee .50 cents a mile from Cincinnati I would expect shipping to be very expensive and would have to make wooden boxes to protect heads and that costs. Can email photos if needed a great set of heads. Paul email poslansky@fuse.net or phone 513-965-8009

Sorry, Paul, those are 1978 castings, not '68 - they didn't start making 'em until 1970. I bought a brand new set of '77 dated bare castings off of ebay about 2 months ago for $500, they're not the greatest performance head available but they are the best of GM's rectangular iron castings.

You mean these heads for $850? You are an NCRS Master Judge. You, of all people should know better. We do look out for each other on here.

Heads
After thinking about the 2 replies that 63Mako and L88Plus made I am responding to them. 63Mako I dislike your statement that we watch out for each other here as if I was dishonest in my statement I hit the 6 instead of the 7 and no they are not the ones on Craigslist. The person who bought them pointed that out to me I told him they were 1978s and that was my mistake. I have had these heads for about about 10 years and just reducing my parts inventory. L88Plus these heads sold over the counter for about $550 each in the late 80s if you got a set for $500 you did better then great for some people a set unmolested heads are worth more then machined and well used ones. If you also look I listed them as Big Block not 427 I do know better. These heads were the replacement heads for the production #3994026 never used for a 1971 Chevelle LS-6 and for the service #6260482 rectangular port. Paul

Sorry, The heads on Craigslist were listed as 1968 also, same dates, Same part numbers, also NOS in the GM box, also from Cincinnati Ohio, also listed within a couple of days of each other. Those were listed @ $850, Yours were listed @ $1950. Must be a coincidence. My mistake. I am sure no one on here would think you would be dishonest for a typo as the other lister also made a similar mistake and, as I admitted, I must have also. My apologies.

Thanks again for your apology we all make mistakes from time to time. Merry Christmas. Paul
