F/s - 3 Monza/ Cobra Gas Caps
I have 3 brand new (still in the plastic) polished aluminum monza gas caps. I had these when I was making the gas caps for the C3's. Dont need them anymore.
They are not a direct fit, but with a little bit of fabbing (I'm talking jigsaw and some scrap aluminum plate) you can get these to fit pretty easily and cheaply. I have attached some of the versions I made with simple hand tools in my garage.
I think these are going for $130+ on ebay.
I'll take $75 each plus shipping.

Did you ever install one of these on a ...
midyear coupe??? Hey Nick, it's John A out in California. I've always thought about putting one of these on my '65 race car, but I wondered how much trouble it would be, and what to do about the character line that runs down the spine of the rear deck. If you have experience or pix or a reference, let me know. Email me at 67L88Vette@comcast.net if you have info. I'd be interested in one if I can make it work without it looking too "hack job".
Sincerely,
John A, 67L88Vette

I'll send you an email tonight, have never done one, but had "ideas" as how it could be done.

Nick, put me down for one...
If there's one left, I'll take it. Please email me your payment details, and recall my shipping zip code is 94582 (Nor Cal). I'm still interested in hearing your ideas on how to mount one cleanly on a mid-year.

wow....old thread!! :-)
I haven't made those types of gas caps in a while. Made 6 or 7 and sold them all at Carlisle in 2009. PM me and we can discuss making another.
I have made a couple of this newer type...functional billet gas cap with carbon fiber trim plate.
