If you want to keep the exhaust that bolts up to the original ram horns you will need to order the headers with the 2" collector because the collector on those point straight down unlike the 2.5" that point in towards the engine. just to give you an idea here are pictures showing the front Y pipe that i hade to have built to fit these headers along side the stock front Y pipe that i bought that did not fit the headers. as you can see the pipe that i had build is angled at the collector and the pipes that i had built are much bigger than the performance exhaust that ecklers and mid america sell. even with the high flow cat in this system it is still louder than the hooker side pipes that i had on the car.

Default headers

you now have me confused Myc3 says the header go straight to the original exhaust as do jb78-l82
looking at your picture your y-pipe is going away from the engine not toward. It looks like you got camaro pipe not corvette headers. Talking with Jack says they are straight down for 2" or 2.5" your appear to lean out.

I'll will pass for sure on your system it not being a dual exhaust will hurt resale as a whole system. I don't need and emmision stuff.

here is a link to the header that i have and it does NOT bolt up to the stock front Y pipe as you can see from my pictures. When i bought these headers and they did NOT bolt up to the stock Y pipe i called McJacks at vetteheaders.com and talked to him myself and he explained to me that the 2.5" headers angle in towards the oil pan to give more clearance for bigger pipes and that if i wanted a header that would bolt up to the stock front Y pipe I would need the headers with the 2" collector. They now sell a header with a 2.5" collector that bolts up to the stock exhaust but it is for engines that have D port heads.

link to the headers that i have
