Don't want to hijack this thread but a shifter (actually the shift linkage) is one year unique for 68 due to the way the shift levers attachto the tranny.

Maybe, but I wasn't using a '68 tranny or '68 specific shifter. I was running a universal mount Super T10 4spd from Richmond.
Do you still have this shifter and will it fit my 80. And do you have all the mounting parts.
The shifter is still available, not sure if it will fit your '80 however. It will fit the original muncie trannys, I had the shifter on my Richmond Super T10. Only thing you would need to bolt this up would be the mounting bolts.
I have around 750miles on this shifter and linkage and it's still tight as new. I'm switching to a 6speed and no longer need the setup. Shifter comes complete with linkage and Hurst ball.
$385
whats the part number for this? I'm quite interested in it.
