F/S 1981 Corvette Borg Warner 4-Speed w/ Hurst Shifter -- MINT
This is the 4-speed transmission with matching Hurst shifter from my 1981 Corvette. It has 19,579 original miles on it (see speedo pic). I cleaned and painted various parts of it, in, get this...1989!
These pics were taken after a very mild clean-up. It has been stored in my climate controlled basement all this time. It is in very near mint condition, even the throw-out bearing (which I think is new, but can't remember???).
I would replace the throw-out bearing anyway and fill it with fresh gear oil. The shifter cleaned up nicely, but despite its climate-controlled environment, it still had minor pitting, and the 8/cue-ball is nicked and faded...although they did polish up nicely.
$600 OBO cash...Local pick-up only...Bensonhurst Brooklyn, zip 11204.
