1973 Frame
Hi, I am looking for a good solid frame for a manual 1973 corvette. I am located in Maryland.
Also I think that since I have a 73 that I would need another 73 frame, I cant use any 68-74 frame, is that correct ?
Thanks,

I believe you could use a late 68 or 69-72 frame if you make a few new holes in your frame extension pieces that bolt to the frame, because the same is true for using a 73 frame on a 68-72.

69-73 frames are nearly the same. 74 onward would require modifications. 68's may or may not have gussets in the kickup area.

Pre 72 you'd need to drill holes for the bolts for the (extra) rear bumper brace that 72-73 got.
A 69 (maybe 70) frame may not have the seat belt reinforcement cable and brace that's welded onto the frame.

FWIW: body mounts changed for 73.
