1969 - 1979 Engines/short blocks/bare blocks
I am doing a search for my next engine project so I thought I would put a WTB post out here and see if any of you are sitting on engines you no longer want, no longer need, etc. I am not looking to steal your numbers matching engines, quite the contrary. I am only looking for Corvette blocks please.
Block casting numbers of interest would include 3932386; 3956618; 3970010; or 3970014.
Not looking for stock heads, intakes, or any other components unless your short block has a forged crank in it, then maybe.
Cannot promise to buy anything you have as I am using the engines I get to learn, experiment, explore.
No homes planned for any of them when finished.
Good candidates may be picked up or shipped to my location if crated.
Please let me know if you have something for me to consider.
Thank you.

I have two that might be of interest, first is the 350" L-48 out of the red 74 I chopped up, complete minus accessories (intake to pan) $400, it was a numbers matching motor but the frame went one way and the body went another way. the other (not quite as cheap) was one that came with an SCCA racer, 1980 SCCA B/P legal, steel 1182 crank, the good GM rods and I believe angle plug #492 heads, 3959458 GM/TRW pistons and 4 bolt 010 block, I would have to look at the numbers to be sure, this one more like $1000 and is disassembled, PM if you have any interest in either, I also have a 1980 Corvette motor, intake to pan $300 if you or anyone else is interested
