For sale is a used Hone O Drive. This is an old school 0.7:1 overdrive system from the late 60's early 70's. The unit is placed right behind the transmission. This unit can be used in any GM cars of the period including Corvette, Camaro, Chevelles, Novas, Impalas ect. The front housing number is NL826 and the back housing number is 3001. What this will do is drop your gear ratio by 33%. So, basically it would take a 4:56 to like a 3:73. These were available from Motion Performance and were used on the Baldwin Motion Corvettes and Camaros. Shown at the bottom is a picture of a Motion Corvette with the Hone-O-Drive shift lever on the passenger side of the trans tunnel.
This unit is in good condition. Spins freely and shifts into od. Shift is a little stiff as the unit is drained of fluid, and not bolted down. All threads are good, NO helicoils, NO cracks. $1500. I'd like to sell this locally, but will ship on your dime. The unit is pretty heavy, so it will cost a bit to ship.
Bump. I do have 18 pages of original parts list, diagrams, and install instructions that would be included. I can also measure and photograph any other part to help the buyer with their install.
Bump for new price. Also I checked on shipping for a failed sale, and both big carriers were around 50-60 bucks. I will get actual shipping for anyone interested, but this gives a rough idea.
