I will try and answer a few questions in regards to the radios that I have listed on the forum.
The NOTE in regards to 8 to 10 ohm speakers when the radios were produce I believe 10 ohm speakers were the standard at that time. Today most speakers are 4 ohm by using 4 ohm speakers you can overheat internal components and shorten the life of the radio. (See attached photo of one of the radio covers)
If anyone with knowledge of vintage radio functions and requirements please post information that can help clarify this issue.
The reason for selling, the 69 AM/FM stereo radio came in a car I purchased a few years back for spare parts and components. The 68 AM/FM radio was in my current project when purchased back in August. I decided to have both radios restored at that time I was not sure which radio I would finally use. The direction that I have decided to go with my current production is completing different then what was intended when purchased. After following the forum the last few months with projects underway by other forum members (David Howard for one) I have decided to go with a vintage race car build. With side exhaust who needs a radio.
I hope this answers some of the PM’s I have received.

'68 AM/FM radios have two leads for the speakers one left one right. '69 AM/FM radios have one speaker lead consisting of a three wire plug which you then use a splitter plug that supplies the leads to each speaker.
